[OA] Grade Book scoreadd.pl

We have Version : 2006-07-14 of the gradebook in place. The following error is given when a teacher tries to edit an assessment item.
 

Error in Entry Value Save/Update Scores Test: 2627

I have been asked by several schools not to make changes to Open Admin until the report cards for term 1 are out so I do not want go to the newest version of the Grade Book. Any suggestions. Is it safe to replace only the current scoreadd.pl file with the newest one?.
