Yes, this is perfectly normal. Teachers can choose from existing groups 
(and item weights within that group).

David Weber and I are in the process of making this 'more accessible' 
(grin). There is a new gbook.conf configuration file to control how 
complex the interface looks. Hopefully I can also put some of this into a 
user session as well, so they have more control over the interface.
